We are looking for a Senior Oracle Administrator (m/f/d) with extensive experience in managing large Oracle database landscapes and a specialization in high-availability systems, particularly Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC). The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge in the areas of migration, installation, backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance optimization. Advanced skills in Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN), Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle Data Guard, SQL/PL SQL, as well as comprehensive experience in incident and change management are also desired. An Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) certification is considered a valuable asset.
Your New Area of Responsibility
- Operation and monitoring of Oracle databases to ensure stable and reliable system performance
- Analysis and resolution of errors to rapidly restore database availability
- Conducting performance analyses and optimizing database performance to increase efficiency
- Developing and implementing backup and recovery strategies to protect data integrity
- Planning and executing updates and upgrades for Oracle servers and databases
- Handling incidents, problems, and changes in accordance with defined ITIL processes
- Collaborating with internal departments and external service providers to improve database solutions
- Creating and maintaining technical documentation to ensure transparent and traceable working practices
Technologies in Use
- We operate database environments in high-availability configurations such as Oracle RAC
- Migrations, installations, backup/recovery, monitoring, and performance tuning are at the core of our work
- Tools such as Oracle RMAN, Oracle Enterprise Manager, and Oracle Data Guard are used routinely
- SQL and PL/SQL are applied specifically for queries and development tasks
- Incident and change management processes are implemented in accordance with standards such as ITIL
What We Expect
- Data protection and data security are a fundamental requirement for you when building and operating IT environments
- At least 3 years of experience in database environment administration
- Ideally, initial certifications in the Oracle field
- IT is no one-man show — you can express yourself clearly and communicate effectively (without stepping on anyone’s toes)
- System updates happen daily — continuous learning is a matter of course for you
- Exciting projects are not always close by — travelling is not an issue for you
- Very good German language skills (minimum C1), English skills are an advantage
